Forum Rules [Important, Read First!]

Very Important Rules:

• Staff should be respected at all times
• Any member that acts like a staff member by “Moderating” the board or any member posing as a staff member will be punished severely.
• Staff members are chosen by the admins for dedication, responsibility and reasonable spelling/grammar; not begging.
• Arguing with the staff is a big no-no; they are your higher power here. If you have a dispute with a staff member, PM one of the admins and a “Court” will be held.
• 'Ripping'/Stealing/'Copying and pasting' someone else's work and claiming it as your own is strictly prohibited. This includes graphics, art, photgraphy, literature, audio and video etc. Members found breaking this rule will be warned or banned.
• Discussion of illegal activities such as -- Music downloading, rom sites (Unless you intend to rip sprites), self-hosted game servers, ect. – is not allowed on the forum except with admins approval.
• We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without any warning, of any nature.

General Rules:

• (Flaming) Debating and discussion is fine on the forum, blatant arguing and calling of names is not. This includes names in all languages; and if someone is caught calling another a name they will be warned and/or punished as the staff sees fit.
• Please refrain from posting meaningless threads except in the Spam Box. These “one word” or “game topics” are highly annoying, and that is why they have their own area for you to enjoy them in.
• Advertising, spamming and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the forum email and Private message system to spam other members. Advertising is allowed in the Advertising section when you meet the required amount of posts, and only then.
• Posting two seperate topics that are about the same thing, (i.e. posting one topic about your favourite Final Fantasy character being Cloud from FFVII, then posting another about how Cloud is "the best") is not permitted. Any members found duplicating topics may be warned or banned. The solution? Make sure you check the board before posting a new topic and refrain from repeating one of your own topics.
• Avoid posting something that is completely 'off-topic'. For example, talking about your favourite Television show in a topic about someone's latest graphics.
• If you wish to post non-English posts on this forum, please make sure on of the members can translate it for you, or that you include an English translation of your post.
• (Necroing) Do not post in a topic that is over three weeks old, unless it is your topic and you need to bump it because you haven’t gotten a reply yet.
• Profanity/swearing/'cussing' of any kind is not tolerated, whether it is written, contained within an image, displayed in a video, or said in an audio file etc... Whether the foul language is abusive or not, members found breaking this rule may be warned or banned.


Links in Signatures/ Avatar Rules:

• Signatures should be no bigger than 500 x 250 pixels
• If your signature links to any site, it must be a site you own yourself or are co-owner of. Any links must be non-commercial with no unwanted pop-ups, i.e. you must not gain profit per click.
• Avatars should be no bigger than 100 x 100 pixels
• Avatars should not exceed 30kb in size, this also means so animated avatars
• Animated signatures should not have many flashing lights or images; they are a safety hazard to those prone to seizures.
